Join us on Friday for a day on the mountain! The wedding party will be hitting the slopes, and all guests are welcome to ski or snowboard alongside us. Whether you’re an experienced rider or interested in booking a lesson, we’d love to spend the day enjoying Alyeska together before the wedding festivities begin.

Alyeska Aerial Tram

The Alyeska Aerial Tram offers a scenic ride to 2,300 feet above the valley, with sweeping views of the Chugach Mountains, Turnagain Arm, and surrounding glaciers. You don’t have to be a skier to enjoy this unforgettable Alaskan experience—bundle up, ride to the top, and take in the snow-covered scenery! We definitely recommend doing this if you don't plan on skiing or riding.

Please be sure to book your room well in advance, as the hotel does regularly sell out for weekend dates.

SHUTTLES

Transportation via shuttles will be provided for the welcome party & wedding day festivities.

Girdwood is located 45 minutes from the Anchorage airport; be sure to plan accordingly for travel from the airport to the resort. Private transfers are available through BAC Transportation (separate reservations required). Glacier Valley Transit offers free, public transportation within Girdwood for guests looking to recreate outside of wedding festivities.
